Round / Cubic Style
Round style Advanced Personal Vaporizers are the ones we are most familiar with. This category also includes "cubic" style like the Innokin iTastte V3. The Round style include devices like the Vamo V5, Smok SID, Lrider Lambo 6.0, and many others.
Review: Aspire CF SUBΩ
Aspire are the movers and shakers in the industry innovating in atomizers and batteries. The Aspire CF is a perfect example of well engineered and well thought out systems to enhance the vaping experience. This Aspire CF Sub-Ohm is specialized and designed for use with the new Aspire Atlantis Sub-Ohm tank. A perfect combination.
Review: eGo-C Twist 2600
A mega eGo 2600 mAh all-day vape. This is not an original Joyetech brand (we don't actually know what the brand is), but it is high quality, reasonable price, and extreme long life.
Review: Eleaf iJust
The Eleaf iJust is a complete system. Add a battery and some juice, and vape away. It is a light unit made of aluminum and very short with an 18350 battery. My thanks to Canvape.com for providing the Eleaf iJust for this test and review.
Review: Innokin Cool Fire 1
Total Evapes provided this unit for review. This device from Innokin is everything I expected: attractive, well finished, smooth threads and it is extremely easy to use.
Review: Innokin CLK 1280
Personal Vaporizers with Variable Voltage are advancing in technology at a rapid pace. Innokin's CLK 1280 increases capacity with an attractive round shape packaged with a lanyard, lanyard ring, beauty ring, and USB charge cable.
Review: Cool Fire 1 Accessories
The Cool Fire 1 is the one device I use regularly. I really like its size, weight, and functionality. It is preset to deliver 8.5 watts consistently and that is where I regularly vape. I often also use the MVP and eVic. The MVP and eVic I bring with me when I am planning to be out of my home or office. The Cool Fire 1 is limited in capacity to an 18350 battery. I don't really want to swap the batteries when away from home/office, so the bigger capacity MVP and eVic are my take along choices. That is, until today. Canvape.com has graciously provided a new extension tube for the Cool Fire 1. With the extension tube, I can use an 18650 battery and at least double the time between charges.
Review: Innokin Cool Fire 2
An unusual shape for an Advanced Personal Vaporizer and noted that way in the instructions. This would be a difficult item to explain at a security check point. Despite its unique look, the shape is one that sits very comfortably in the hand. Combined with some awesome features from Innokin, this is a quality APV. Thanks to Total Evapes for providing this review unit.
Review: Innokin iTaste SVD 2.0
180 Smoke offer this excellent Advanced Personal Vaporizer Kit based on the Innokin SVD 2.0. The SVD 2.0 is an excellent APV featuring the Evolv 20 watt chipset and some serious features. The kit comes with your choice of Nautilus Mini or Nautilus, an 18650 battery, wall charger, and a 180 Smoke Ejuice of your choice.
Review: Innokin iTaste V3.0
Incredible feature set and a desirable personal vaporizer. One of the only units in this size range that features both variable voltage and variable wattage. Well designed, well engineered, and well built. Innokin is known for quality and this unit is an example of that superb creativity. Provided for review by Innokin Technology.
Review: Joyetech eCom
Brand new and a power house personal vaporizer that directly competes with bigger devices. The Joyetech eCom has already won the "red dot" award ... it features Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage in a unit slightly larger in diameter than a regular eGo battery. The included clearomizer matches the design and is really an attractive package.
Review: Joyetech eMode
An innovation from Joyetech, the eMode is recently released. With Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage. Uses a 16650 ICR battery.
Review: Joyetech eVic
A well known product form a solid industry pioneer. The Joyetech eVic accommodates an 18650 battery (included in the package) and a translucent black LCD display. The USB port can be connected to your computer where you can use the Joyetech software to set the eVic to your own preferences (or use the built-in single-button menu system with rotating dial).
Review: eVic Accessories
Some excellent accessories to enhance your vaping experience with the eVic. Canvape.com have made available a short extension tube to accommodate an 18350 high-drain battery. Canvape.com also provided a unique eVic tank. Check this out, with the short extension tube this is one of the smallest full featured advanced personal vaporizers available.
Review: Joyetech eVic Supreme
The Joyetech eVic Supreme is not recommended for purchase.
Review: KSD Kmax
A really slick and small device with Variable Voltage, Variable Wattage and a unique LCD display that is a transparent color blending in with the overall look of the unit. Features a telescoping battery tube that accommodates an 18350, 18500 or 18650 lithium-ion battery.
Review: Lrider Mini Lambo V3
A great Variable Voltage device from Lrider.
Review: Lrider Lambo 6.0
The Lambo 6.0 is the latest product from the fertile minds of Lrider Technology. If an Advanced Personal Vaporizer can be described as beautiful, this is beautiful. We planned this for review and as a contest prize for our first newsletter give away on April 15 2014. I now regret that ... this is one unit I want to keep and use, and use, and use. However, it is committed to the prize pool and the new owner that gets this prize can benefit from one smooth and powerful device ... I vaped this at 20 watts with a 2.1 ohm clearomizer and simply could not imagine how the technical wizards at Lrider Technology got this soooo right .....
Review: Provape Provari
We finally get a chance to review the legendary Provari. Are we impressed? read on ...
Review: Smok SID
This review unit was originally intended for review and to give away as a contest prize in June 2014. We are impressed with this light weight unit and have decided to make it part of the April 15 2014 contest prize list. Our thanks to Total Evapes for providing this for review and donating it as a contest prize.
Review: Smoktech Winder 1500
One of the reasons to upgrade from the standard eGo and EVOD style batteries is to get longer vaping times between charges. The Smoketech Winder 1500 mAh has a huge capacity that should last between 13 1/2 and 15 hours -- and without getting into a ridiculous length either.
Review: Vamo V5
It's hard to tell who actually makes the Vamo. There are various manufacturers of this device, however, I traced the original design back to KSD who still make a Vamo in all of its different versions and iterations. KSD also make other lines of Advanced Personal Vaporizers such as the K100, K200, KMAX and many others. Here we have an in-depth look at the Vamo V5.
Review: VapeOnly Aura Mini
Our thanks to Heaven Gifts for sending the VapeOnly Auro Mini for testing and review. An innovative design with the entire E-Liquid section sealed to prevent leaking, this top fill design is light, attractive, and a powerful kit for those switching to vaping or upgrading from eGo / EVOD style systems.
Review: Vapeonly vPulse
An eGo style battery with Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage -- and selectable DC power output or Pulse power output. LED display at the bottom of the unit has an excellent display, plus also shows coil resistance (ohms).
Review: Vision Spinner II
The Vision Spinner II is a great upgrade for those currently using eGo or EVOD style batteries. It has a very nice carbon fiber finish and a fire button that is a hybrid between the eGo and EVOD. It is flatter than an eGo, but still raised so that it is easy to find even in the dark. The spinner at the bottom to adjust the voltage is an entirely new design, with high contrast numbering to easily identify the voltage you are trying to set.
Here's a table of all the specifications for Advanced Personal Vaporizers (Round or Cubic)
